Meal Plan Monday & My Protein Powder

Goooood morning!  Happy Monday!

What a game last night, right?! What did everyone think of Lady Gaga at halftime last night? I loved her!  And the commercials?  My 4 year old was awake for the first few minutes of the game.  She almost never watches regular television with commercials, so she cracked up at all the silly commercials.  Hearing her laugh at everything made my night.  My 6 year old complained about my 2 year old doing something, and the sweet 4 year old immediately chimed in with an “Oh my” like the George Takei commercial.  Hilariously perfect timing.  She is most definitely a middle child.  A funny little goose.

Okay, on to my meal plan for the week and then I’ll share about my favorite protein powder!

Menu Monday & A Recap of Healthy Eating

Happy Monday, y’all!  I had a busy weekend, filled with a child’s birthday party, a little bit of impromptu shopping, an out of town dinner date with friends from high school, and the ever popular Costco trip.  🙂  I love that place.  The girls had an especially good time trying out all the furniture displays.  However, we had a minor catastrophe when my 2 year old lost my 4 year old’s tiny toy dog at some point during the trip.  My amazing husband retraced our steps and found the beloved pocket puppy.  All is well in the world again. Freezer Cooking!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!  Today I want to chat about an awesome sanity-saver for busy lives.

Sometimes we have time to sit down as a family to eat dinner, but I don’t have time during the day to actually make dinner.

Sometimes unexpected things happen to where I don’t have time to make the dinner I had planned to make.

Sometimes I have a friend in need, and I want to send over a home-cooked meal but I don’t have time to make one.

Sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking! (Can you believe that?!)

Freezer meals are the answer!

Crock Pot Tips and A Healthified Spaghetti & Meatballs

Crock pots are a busy life’s best friend.  Dump in some ingredients, turn it on low, and 7 to 8 hours later, you have a great meal!

They even make them with timers now, so you don’t have to be home at the end of 7 to 8 hours.  Fabulous news if you work outside the home or if you have other places you need to be 7 to 8 hours after turning on the crock pot.

You can make breakfast (click here for overnight carrot-apple oatmeal recipe), lunch, dinner, and even dessert in a crock pot.  Since this month is focused on healthy eating, I thought I’d share one of my favorite healthy crock pot recipes.
